Reading pH with the Growlink Sensorex pH Sensor
The Growlink Sensorex pH Sensor reads 0–14 pH on a 12 mm Ultem-body electrode designed for samples where contamination would foul a single-junction probe. The double junction reference design isolates the Ag/AgCl reference cell behind a second junction filled with KCl. Heavy metals and organic compounds have to migrate through both junctions before they reach the reference wire. That extra barrier extends working life in nutrient solutions and recirculating fertigation lines where dissolved salts climb fast. Operating range is 0–80°C with sealed gel reference electrolyte. No top-up, no fill cap, low maintenance through the run.
Cable, BNC, and Calibration for the Double Junction pH Probe
Terminations are BNC at the meter end and Ultem at the wet end. The BNC connector plugs into any meter that accepts the standard fit, including the Growlink Batch TankLINK controller. Two cable lengths cover most reservoir layouts. The 10 ft cable handles bench-mounted controllers within reach of the tank. The 30 ft cable handles wall-mounted setups across the room. Both variants use the same Sensorex S200CD pH sensor head. The only spec difference is the cable run from probe to controller. The pH bulb sits recessed inside the polymer body so the glass doesn't crack against the bottom of a beaker or calibration cup. This double junction pH probe also resists silver-ion reference poisoning common in long-running recirculation systems. Run two-point calibration with pH 7 and pH 4 buffers at the start of each batch.
