Reading the Spectrum on the Sun System LEC 630 at 3100K

Check the voltage first, because this build is 347 / 480 volt only and will not run on a 120 or 240 volt service. What it ships with is the warm option. The 3100K lamp concentrates its intensity near 600 nm, so it reads orange-yellow to the eye and behaves much like an HPS. We bench tested the 315W ceramic lamps ourselves. That Philips 3100K put out the highest total PAR of anything measured, roughly 8% above the closest competitor.

What the 3100K CMH Lamps Deliver

Each lamp is a Philips CDM-T Elite Agro at 315W, so the pair draws 630W. Colour rendering is 92 CRI, output 33,000 initial lumens at 105 lumens per watt, and lumen maintenance holds 90% at 8,000 hours. The base is PGZX18 on a T12 tube. Red-weighted 3100k cmh lamps are the usual pick for flowering. The extra energy toward the red end matches what a plant is doing in bloom. Growers who split the room run 4200K through veg and swap to this for flower. Growers running one lamp all cycle tend to land here, because the PAR total is higher.
