ThinkGrow DPA-10 Feeds a ThinkGrow LED String Directly
ThinkGrow fixtures share power down a row through locking daisy-chain cords. The first fixture in that row still needs a connection back to the building's circuit. The DPA-10 is that connection when no Smart Junction Box is being used. One end carries ThinkGrow's 4-pin IP65 waterproof connector with an M25 3-pin plug and protective caps. The other end comes pre-stripped for an electrician to land in a junction box or disconnect. The conductor is 10 AWG copper with a 5.26 mm² area. Choosing a Hardwire Power Cord or a Smart Junction Box
The OPA-1 and OPA-2 junction boxes add metering and electronic overcurrent protection at the head of the string. The DPA-10 skips that hardware and connects the string straight to the branch circuit. That makes sense where the panel breaker already provides the protection the room needs. It also suits sites that monitor power at the panel rather than at each row. Match the breaker and supply wiring to the cord's rating and to the total draw of the fixtures on the string. A licensed electrician should terminate the stripped end to local code. Seat the waterproof connector fully and lock it before the circuit is energized. Keep unused connector caps in place so moisture and debris stay out of the pins. If a row later needs metering or remote trip settings, an OPA-2 can take this cord's place. This cord is for ThinkGrow daisy-chain strings; non-ThinkGrow loads on an OPA-2 use the DOA-10 instead.
