ThinkGrow DOA-10 Connects Other Equipment to the OPA-2
The OPA-2 Smart Junction Box was built to feed and protect strings of ThinkGrow LEDs. Its output is designed for ThinkGrow's own daisy-chain power cords rather than other brands' equipment. The DOA-10 bridges that gap with a short cord for the OPA-2's output side. That opens the box to high-draw loads such as pumps, HVAC fans and dehumidifiers. The cord is 10 AWG copper with a 5.26 mm² conductor area. It is rated to 30A at 100–277V, matching the OPA-2's top shut-off setting. What an OPA-2 Hardwire Cord Adds to Non-LED Loads
Once connected, the load picks up the OPA-2's real-time readings of voltage, current, power and power factor. Overcurrent protection can be set to trip at 15, 20 or 30 amps. The box cuts power within half a second when current climbs 20% past the chosen point. That gives an expensive pump or dehumidifier the same protection the LED string gets. Size the shut-off point to the equipment's nameplate draw, not just the cord's rating. Have a licensed electrician terminate the equipment end to local code.
