ThinkGrow ICL-300 Lights the Middle of the Plant
Overhead fixtures light the top of the canopy well, but leaves and sites below it stay in shade. Flowers that form in that shade tend to be smaller and lower in quality. The ICL-300 sits inside the canopy and throws light in a 300-degree pattern. That wide spread reaches branches above, beside and below the bar at the same time. It draws 120 watts and puts out more than 314 µmol/s. The driver is built in and accepts 100–277VAC at 50/60Hz. The housing is rated IP56 for humid flower rooms. The bar measures 46.21 × 3.60 × 2.64 in and ships at 6.17 lbs. ThinkGrow rates the diodes at L90 beyond 54,000 hours with a 5-year warranty. It works from 32 to 104°F at 5 to 95% humidity.
Three Ways to Mount an Inner Canopy LED Bar
The ICL-300 can hang, clamp to tubing or stand on its own. To hang it, insert the hooks into the mounting holes on each side and suspend it with rope, wire rope or cable. To clamp it, use the two collar mounts included with every bar on PVC or metal pipe from 3/4 to 1 in diameter. To stand it, set it on a pair of TSD-1 LED stands, which are sold separately. Neighboring bars can share a stand, so a row of 12 bars needs 13 stands. Whichever method you use, test the support before leaving the bar in place. Set the height so the bar sits within the plant structure without touching leaves. Adjust the position as plants stretch through flower.
