Aero-Fan PS-6 Spreads Fan Air Evenly Along the Canopy

A fan blowing from one end of a room leaves some plants in a breeze and others in still air. A perforated air sock fixes that by releasing air along its whole length. The PS-6 is a 6 in by 400 ft roll of LDPE tubing. Air escapes through 0.5 in holes spaced every 16.5 in. That spacing gives a gentle, even flow across the plant canopy instead of a single jet. TrolMaster designed it to reduce microclimates, the warm or humid pockets that form where air stalls. The polyethylene is described as durable and odorless. One roll can be cut into several runs to match each bench or row. It is sized for the Aero-Fan V-8 when fitted with the AB-8 air booster. The narrower PS-4 pairs with the smaller V-6 fan.

Installing a 6 Inch Poly Air Sock

Measure each run and cut the sock to length for its fan. Decide whether the holes should face up toward the canopy or down toward the floor before mounting. Most rooms aim the holes to wash air across the plants without blasting any single spot. Fit the AB-8 air booster into the fan outlet first. Slide the sock over the booster and lock it with the vent tube clamp that ships with the booster pack. Hang the sock level along the row so air leaves every hole at a similar rate. Tie off or close the far end so air exits through the holes rather than out the tail. Run the fan at low speed first and check that the sock inflates fully without whipping. Replace sections that tear, since a large opening lets most of the air escape in one place. The attached installation guide shows the full setup.
