ThinkGrow TDC-277 Powers a Model One Group on 277V
Every group of Model One drivers needs one feed cord that brings in power. The TDC-277 is that cord for rooms wired for 277 volts. It ends in a NEMA L7-15P twist-lock plug, the locking style common on commercial 277V lighting circuits. The cord is 7 ft (2.1 m) long and rated to 10A. At the driver end it splits into a power lead and a control connection. The power lead plugs into the input of the first driver in the group. The control branch links to a TrolMaster controller with an ECS-9 cable for dimming and scheduling. TrolMaster lists the cord at 0.88 lbs. It is rated for rooms from 32 to 104°F. Separate TDC-120 and TDC-240 versions cover 120V and 240V circuits.
Planning a Group Around a 277V Splitter Power Cord
At this voltage, the Model One manual allows up to 25 drivers on one feed cord. That is the highest count of any supply voltage, which makes long rows practical. Mount the drivers first, alternating direction so the male and female leads line up. Link neighboring drivers with TDC-2, TDC-3 or TDC-4 daisy-chain cords. Connect the splitter head to the first driver's input port. Run an ECS-9 from the control branch to the controller if the group is being dimmed. Plug into a matching L7-15R receptacle last, once every driver and bar is seated. The twist-lock plug resists being pulled loose by a bumped cord or a moving light lifter.
