ThinkGrow Model-I 480V for High-Voltage Commercial Rooms

Large cultivation buildings usually bring in 480Y/277V three-phase service, and Canadian sites often run 600Y/347V. This version of the Model-I wires straight onto those circuits through an auto-sensing 347–480V driver. No step-down transformer sits between the panel and the lights. At that voltage it draws only 2.09A at 347V and 1.55A at 480V. On a 20A branch at the 80% continuous rule, that is ten fixtures per circuit at 480V. A 120V build using the standard Model-I would need a separate circuit for every two lights. Output is more than 1,829 µmol/s from 720W, an efficacy above 2.54 µmol/J. The single V-shaped bar measures 45.24 x 4.36 x 6.46 in, weighs 22.33 lbs and holds its driver inside. Coverage is 4 x 4 ft in flower and 5 x 5 ft in veg, hung more than 2.5 ft above canopy. The housing is IP66, with an L90 life above 54,000 hours and a 5-year warranty.

Why 480V LED Grow Lights Pay Off in a Large Build

Fewer amps per fixture means fewer home runs, smaller conductors and fewer breakers across a big flower room. That is where most of the savings land, in the electrical rough-in rather than on the monthly bill. The fixture itself behaves exactly like its lower-voltage twin once it is hung. White with some UV carries the crop, and a separate far-red channel handles end-of-day treatments late in flower. That channel stays idle until a TrolMaster Hydro-X with an LMA-T adapter is on the network. The slim bar casts little shadow, so it also suits greenhouses with high-voltage service. It needs that tall hang to spread evenly, which rules out tight vertical racks. The honest limit is the building itself. This driver will not run on household or 208–240V service at all. Rooms without high-voltage panels should choose the standard-voltage Model-I instead.
