ThinkGrow MB-4 Builds a Compact 360W Model One Fixture

Not every space needs flowering-level intensity. Veg rooms, mother rooms and clone areas often do better with fewer bars spread wider. The MB-4 is the smallest bar in the Model One mounting line. It holds four drivers for a total of 360 watts. Driver positions are about 11.81 in apart, roughly double the spacing on the MB-9. The bar is 38.66 in long and 2.21 in wide. It accepts the two-channel TLD-2 and the four-channel TLD-4 drivers. Pair it with DR-1 or FR-1 bars for simple spectrum, or TLB bars for four-channel control. The box contains one MB-4 bar. Its listed product weight is 670 g, about 1.48 lbs.

Hanging a Model One Driver Bar

Suspend the bar from the ceiling on the provided hangers for the quickest setup. In rooms with Unistrut, thread two nuts loosely onto the bar, slide it into the channel and tighten. Each driver twists about 25 degrees to lock in place. Alternate driver direction so the power leads connect male to female. Use TDC-2, TDC-3 or TDC-4 cords between drivers, sized to the gap. A TDC-120, TDC-240 or TDC-277 splitter cord feeds power and the controller signal to the group. Keep each feed cord under the driver limit the manual lists for your voltage. Snap the LED bars into the drivers until they click. If a space later needs more light, the MB-7, MB-8 and MB-9 bars hold more drivers on a similar footprint.
