ThinkGrow MB-7 Sets Up a 630W Model One Fixture

A 630-watt fixture is a common size for 4 x 4 flowering footprints. With the Model One system, that means seven 90-watt drivers working together. The MB-7 gives those seven drivers a single rigid frame. It has seven positions for a total of 630 watts. The positions sit about 6.75 in apart, a little wider than the MB-8 and MB-9 layouts. The bar is 43.39 in long and 2.21 in wide. It accepts TLD-2 and TLD-4 drivers, so the fixture can run two or four spectrum channels. Because each LED bar is replaceable, the spectrum can change later without replacing the frame. The package holds one MB-7 bar. Its listed product weight is 870 g, about 1.92 lbs.

Mounting and Wiring the LED Driver Mounting Bar

The bar can hang straight from the ceiling on the provided hangers. It can also lock into Unistrut with two nuts threaded loosely, slid into the channel and tightened. Twist each driver roughly 25 degrees onto its seat. Alternate driver direction so each male lead meets the next driver's female lead. Daisy-chain neighbors with TDC-2, TDC-3 or TDC-4 cords depending on the gap. Feed each group through a TDC-120, TDC-240 or TDC-277 splitter cord, which also carries the controller signal. Stay within the manual's limit of drivers per feed cord for your supply voltage. Click each LED bar firmly into its driver before powering up. Rooms that want more intensity can step up to the MB-8 or MB-9, and small spaces can use the MB-4. Full diagrams are in the Model One manual attached below.
