ThinkGrow MB-8 Turns Eight Model One Drivers Into a 720W Fixture

Each ThinkGrow Model One driver powers a single 90-watt LED bar. Eight of them on one frame make a 720-watt light for a full-size flowering footprint. The MB-8 is the frame that holds them. It carries eight driver positions for a total of 720 watts. Positions are spaced about 5.91 in apart, so the bars sit evenly across the footprint. The bar is 44.57 in long and 2.21 in wide. Both TLD-2 two-channel drivers and TLD-4 four-channel drivers fit it. Mixing bar types lets one fixture carry full spectrum, deep red, far red or UV as the crop needs. One MB-8 bar comes in the box. Its listed product weight is 870 g, about 1.92 lbs.

Installing a Quick Release Mounting Bar

Hang it straight from the ceiling with the provided hangers, or lock it into Unistrut channel. On Unistrut, two loosely threaded nuts slide into the channel before being tightened down. Each driver twists roughly 25 degrees to seat on the bar. Flip every other driver so the power leads line up male to female down the row. TDC-2, TDC-3 or TDC-4 daisy-chain cords link the drivers, chosen by the gap between them. A TDC-120, TDC-240 or TDC-277 splitter cord then brings power and the controller link to the group. Check the manual's per-cord driver limit for your voltage before planning long runs. Press each LED bar into its driver until it clicks, and confirm it is fully seated. For denser flowering layouts the MB-9 adds a ninth position, while the MB-7 and MB-4 spread out further. The attached Model One manual shows the full layout and wiring diagrams.
