Ratchet hangers and chain eat up vertical space that low-ceiling rooms cannot spare. The UH-1 mounts a fixture directly to the strut instead. It is built for standard 1-5/8 in metal framing channel, commonly sold as Unistrut. ThinkGrow designed it for the Model-H, Model-W and Model-V LED fixtures. A quick release design lets the fixture come down for service without unbolting the channel hardware. Keeping the light close to the ceiling leaves more room between the fixture and the canopy. That matters most in multi-tier racks and rooms with little headroom. The boxed hanger measures about 5.43 × 6.69 × 0.98 in. It ships at roughly 0.66 lbs. The Model-I and Model-I Plus use a different hanger, the UH-2.

Installing a Unistrut Grow Light Hanger

Run the strut across the ceiling so it lines up with the fixture's hanging points. Confirm the channel and its anchors are rated for the full weight of the light. Attach the UH-1 to the channel at each hanging point the fixture manual calls for. Lift the fixture into place and engage the quick release until it locks. Check that the light hangs level before powering it up. Keep power and control cords clear of the release mechanism. When the fixture needs cleaning or service, open the release and lower it by hand. Fixed hangers do not adjust height, so plan canopy distance with dimming or bench height instead. A licensed installer should handle overhead mounting in commercial rooms.
