Because the full-spectrum diodes stay on board, the swapped position still lights the plants directly below it. You add UV without giving up white light. ThinkGrow's own guidance is two UV bars per fixture over a 4×4 or 5×5 ft footprint. Run them through the last four weeks of the flowering cycle, then pull them before the next crop goes into veg. The Model-H hangs eight bars off a central driver assembly, and each bar unclips on its own. That layout turns the swap into a short lights-out job, with no extra cord or driver to wire in. Most growers slot the UV bars in once the stretch has finished and the flowers are stacking. Spread the pair apart on the fixture rather than side by side, so both halves of the canopy see UV. Keep the hang height you already run for that fixture, since the rest of the bar behaves like its neighbors. Supplemental UV light is a finishing tool, not a growth driver. It adds a stress signal late in the cycle, which is why it stays out of veg and early bloom. ThinkGrow does not publish the peak UV wavelength or the split between UVA and UVB. If your program depends on a measured UVB dose, a dedicated UV fixture with a published spectrum is the better call.
