Where the TrolMaster PCT-3 Physically Goes

Installation is the part that decides whether this sensor is useful. The probe carries a threaded body sized for a standard three quarter inch PVC tee fitting. It screws into a feed line and reads the solution as it passes. The protective sleeve around the element was reduced in diameter over the earlier version. That is what lets it into places the older probe would not go. It works equally as a drop-in probe hanging in a reservoir. Inline reading tells you what the plants are about to receive. Reservoir reading tells you what is in the tank, which is not the same number once an injector or a dosing pump sits between them. Choose the position for the question you are actually asking. The lead is three point six metres, which is generous enough to put the controller somewhere dry and still reach the tank. It ends in a Mini DIN plug that goes straight into the sensor board.

Module Compatibility and What This Nutrient Sensor Needs

This is a probe and not an instrument, so it reads nothing on its own. It plugs into a sensor board, and the board belongs to a controller. It works with AMP-2 on the Aqua-X NFS-1, and AMP-3 on the Aqua-X NFS-2 and NFS-3, the Green-X GCS-1 and the Tent-X TCS-1. Check which board a system has first, because the Mini DIN socket is on the board rather than on the controller head. Working conditions are given as thirty-two to a hundred and twenty-two Fahrenheit with humidity below ninety percent. Conductivity probes drift as the electrodes foul, so calibration is maintenance rather than a one-off setup step. Fouling comes fastest in a line carrying organic inputs. Clean the element gently and never scrape it. One sensor is supplied in the pack.
