The ECS-12 is a short X-shaped splitter for the 4-pin dimming connectors used across the ThinkGrow lighting system. It links ThinkGrow LEDs or LMA-T modules so one control signal can reach more than a single run of fixtures. There are two female and two male ends, and you use whichever combination your layout needs. Each end has a locking collar, so a bumped cable or a pulled fixture will not drop the connection. A typical ThinkGrow room uses an ECS-9 cable to carry the controller's lighting signal to the first fixture. From there the signal daisy-chains fixture to fixture along each row. The ECS-12 comes in when a single chain is not enough, such as splitting one feed into two parallel rows. It also helps when a fixture in the middle of a run has to come down without breaking every light after it. TrolMaster describes the cable as abrasion and corrosion resistant, and it is rated for indoor or outdoor use. That covers greenhouses and humid flower rooms where an unsealed connector would be more exposed. Seat each locking ring fully before powering up, because a half-seated connector can drop the signal. Label each branch at the splitter so the next person can trace which row each output feeds. This splitter only carries the low-voltage control signal and does not carry fixture power. Keep it away from the driver's line-voltage cable to reduce the chance of signal interference.
