Inside the TrolMaster Device Station Kit, Outlet by Outlet
The kit is one housing with four controlled outlets, and those outlets are not interchangeable. From left to right they default to DST, DSH and then two DSP. DST is the temperature controlled outlet, so anything on it switches against a temperature setpoint. DSH is the humidity outlet and works the same way against a humidity target. The two DSP outlets are program outlets, closer to a multi-function timer than to a sensor driven switch. Each output is rated at a maximum of 15A. Supply is 120V in North America, with the unit accepting 100~240VAC at 50 or 60 Hz. Working range is 32 to 104 degrees Fahrenheit at ninety percent humidity or below. The packaged kit measures 275mm x 255mm x 95mm and weighs 3.86 lbs. It is FCC registered and ETL certified, and carries a three year warranty. In the carton there is one device station kit and nothing else. The power cable is integrated, so the kit goes straight into a wall socket.
How the Kit Differs From a Single Tent-X Device Station
Four outlets in one box is not the same as four separate stations, and the difference cuts both ways. The kit occupies four device module slots on the controller, exactly as four individual stations would. What it saves is wiring and wall space, since one housing and one plug replace four of each. What it costs is choice, because the outlet assignment is fixed in that default order. Anyone wanting two humidity outlets and no timer outlet needs separate stations instead. The amperage figure deserves care, because it is the one most often misread. Each output is rated at fifteen amps on its own. The kit still draws everything through a single plug, so the sum of what runs at once is bounded by the circuit behind that socket. Rating per outlet and capacity of the whole kit are two different numbers. One compatibility point matters more than any of the above. This kit connects to a Tent-X controller by RJ12, and the Hydro-X device stations are a different family. Check which controller is on the wall before choosing between the two.
Key Features
- Four outlets, three functions: DST for temperature, DSH for humidity and two DSP program outlets.
- 15A maximum on each output: That is the per outlet rating, not a kit total.
- Uses four module slots: The controller sees it as four device stations, not as one.
- Integrated power cable: It plugs into a standard socket with no wiring to do.
- Fixed outlet order: Left to right assignment is set, so the layout cannot be changed.
- Wide input range: 100~240VAC at 50 or 60 Hz, supplied at 120V in North America.
- FCC registered and ETL certified: Backed by a three year warranty from TrolMaster.
- Tent-X controller only: The Hydro-X device stations are a separate family of parts.
