TrolMaster LMA-9 Opens ThinkGrow LEDs to Any 0-10V Controller
Most ThinkGrow LED owners run their lights from a TrolMaster controller, but not every facility does. If the room already runs on another platform, the LMA-9 bridges the gap. It converts a standard 0–10V analog dimming signal into the digital signal ThinkGrow fixtures expect. The adapter accepts two separate 0–10V channels. That lets the controller dim the full spectrum diodes and the supplemental red diodes on their own curves. On the controller side, twin connection cables land on 2+2 hardwired terminals. On the light side, a single RJ12 port feeds the string of ThinkGrow fixtures. TrolMaster rates the connection distance at up to 1000 meters, which covers most facility layouts. Input current is 60mA, and the unit is rated for rooms from 32 to 122°F. The box includes the adapter, a 12 ft RJ12 to 4-pin IP65 cable (ECS-9) and the power and signal cables.
Wiring a ThinkGrow 0-10V Adapter to a Third-Party Controller
Land the first analog output from your controller on the full spectrum channel terminals. Land the second output on the red channel if you want to steer spectrum separately. Confirm your controller has two outputs before planning separate red control. Plug the ECS-9 cable into the adapter's RJ12 port and run it to the first light in the string. From there the fixtures pass the signal down the line on their own daisy-chain cables. Label both channels at the controller so nobody swaps red and full spectrum during a service call. Test at low output first to confirm each channel dims the right diodes before moving to full power. TrolMaster controller users connect ThinkGrow LEDs through TrolMaster's own lighting adapters instead. This adapter is only for rooms standardized on another brand of climate or lighting controller.
