TrolMaster RMC-1 Lets Green-X Drive Vent and Curtain Motors

The RMC-1 is a DIN-rail driver that connects a Green-X GCS-1 controller to the motor system on a greenhouse vent or curtain. Inside are two relays that handle open (forward), close (reverse) and stop commands. Both outputs are isolated dry contacts rated 1A at 250VAC or 1A at 30VDC. That rating is for signaling a motor starter or reversing controller, not for carrying motor current directly. It links to the GCS-1 DEVICES port over RJ12 and draws 12V at 0.1A from that connection. On the face are Add/Mode, Open, Close and Stop buttons for running the motor by hand. A black 6-pin terminal takes open and close limit switches plus power and data for up to two TPS-1 position switches. A green 6-pin terminal lets a wall switch force open, close or stop by shorting a pin to ground. That same terminal has 12V outputs for open and close indicator lamps on a panel door. The box includes 0.5 ft and 4 ft RJ12 cables and both terminal plugs.

After snapping it onto the rail, press Add and open the Motor Setting menu on the GCS-1 to link it. From there the controller can move each vent on radiation, wind, rain, temperature and humidity. Each trigger gets a priority from 1 to 5, so a storm reading can override a heat call. For example, a grower might rank rain first so vents close before water blows in. The limit switch inputs are the real safety net against over-travel. When an open or close switch pulls to ground, that relay drops out even if the controller is still calling for movement. If a relay will not trigger, TrolMaster's first check is whether a limit switch is already engaged. Unresponsive buttons can mean one of the green override pins is shorted to ground. The communication line follows RS-485 practice, so keep total cable length within 500 m. Mount it in a dry panel, since the unit is rated for 32 to 104°F and should never get wet.
