How the TrolMaster TSH-1 Controls Airflow
This station adds one variable analog output to a TrolMaster Hydro-X system. At setup, the output is assigned to either temperature or humidity. Below the Stop At point the output sits at zero, then it climbs toward full scale as the reading rises. The Hydro-X sets the setpoint and deadband, and full output arrives at the setpoint plus the deadband. Separate day and night minimum outputs run from 10 to 80%, so a fan never drops below a chosen idle speed. The output handles up to 1 A. Power arrives through the RJ12 data cable, so no separate supply is needed. An LCD shows the setpoint, the live reading and the current output percentage. A micro-SD slot takes firmware updates. The box includes a 16 ft and a 4 ft RJ12 cable plus a T-splitter, and the station carries a 3-year warranty.
Wiring a 0-10V Fan Controller Into a Hydro-X Room
A 0-10V fan controller earns its place when an EC fan or motorised vent should ramp smoothly instead of switching on and off. Plug the TSH-1 into the DEVICES socket on the Hydro-X with the RJ12 cable. Choose Temperature or Humidity when the LCD prompts for a device type. Press the Addressing button to assign an address such as T1 or H1. Run the positive and negative signal wires from the fan's 0-10V input to the matching terminals on top. Press each grey tab to open the terminal, insert the wire, release and tug gently to check the grip. Polarity must match the fan, or the signal will not register. Set day and night minimum speeds from the station's menu, then set the target on the Hydro-X. Each station drives one 0-10V device, so add a station for every fan that needs its own control. Mount it indoors, away from water and heat. Once tuned, it keeps air moving in proportion to what the room actually needs.
