How the Twister T2 Standard Tumbler Shapes the Trim

Inside a T2, the tumbler is the part the flower actually touches. It turns slowly over the blade reel, and any leaf that drops through a slot gets clipped clean underneath. This is the standard drum, with 1/4 in slots sized as the all-round option for wet and dry flower. It is made from 304 stainless steel with a non-stick finish and no PTFE-type coating. That smooth surface cuts down on wall crawl, so buds keep rolling instead of riding up the side. The drum weighs about 13.7 lb and lifts out of the machine by its end caps. It is the same drum a new T2 is built with, under part number 24-0131-03-P. A T2 fitted with it is rated for up to 35 lb/hr wet and 11 lb/hr dry, depending on the flower and the operator. The drum fits the T2 only, since the T4 and larger machines use their own tumblers. As a genuine Twister part, it keeps the cut and the fit exactly as the factory set them.

Keeping a Second Trimmer Tumbler in Rotation

A spare trimmer tumbler changes the rhythm of a harvest day. One drum soaks in cleaner while the other keeps working, so the machine never sits waiting on a wash. Swap drums at a natural break, such as a bin change, rather than when resin has already slowed the cut. Always lift the drum by its end caps, because the slot edges are sharp enough to cut skin. Treat it as precision equipment; a dropped drum can bend out of round and start tearing leaf. On a wet run, a light mist of cold water on the brush keeps sticky buildup from forming. Dry material needs no mist at all, though the drum still collects dust and trichome residue. Clean it after every session with a resin cleaner and a soft brush, then let it dry fully before refitting. Look along the slots for nicks at each cleaning, and retire a damaged drum before it ruins a batch. Store the spare upright, somewhere clean, where nothing can knock against its edges.
