Five of the figures in circulation for this system come from a superseded data sheet, and all five point the same way. Every one of them understates the machine. Total volume was given as 385 gal where the published figure is 380 gal. Power usage was given as 520 W against a published 625 W. The air pump set was listed as one forty litre pump and three eighties, where Current Culture specify one hundred litre pump and three eighties. That last one matters, because it is what drives the headline number in recirculating culture. Aeration is widely published as 0.72 LPM per gallon. The real figure is 0.90 LPM per gallon, a quarter higher. Recirculation was shown as 6.50 exchanges an hour where the published figure is 6.32, which is what 2400 GPH actually gives on this volume. Taken together, those figures sell the system on a weaker aeration rate than it delivers. They also understate the power draw by more than a hundred watts. Both corrections matter to a buyer. The aeration figure is the one that gets compared against other systems. The power figure is the one an electrician needs before the room is wired.

Planning a Room Around a 32 Site RDWC System

Start with the space, because this is a commercial footprint and not a tent. The system itself occupies 11 feet 1 inch by 28 feet, or 3.38 by 8.54 metres. Current Culture recommend a grow area of 18 by 34 feet around it, which allows for aisles and working room. Four rows of eight sites on forty inch centres is what fills that area. That is a real line item and it is easy to under budget. Lighting guidance from Current Culture is given as thirty two fixtures at 600W horizontally, or forty one vertically. Read that as a canopy area and a light level rather than as a fixture count, because it is written in high pressure sodium terms. An equivalent light emitting diode room would be planned on target light intensity across the canopy instead. Veg time is four to six weeks to a plant of thirty to thirty six inches before flipping. Nutrient to start is in the box, as Cultured Solutions VEG A and B. Warranty is one year, and each system is built to specification, with a current lead time of seven to ten business days.
