Vortex Powerfan V-Series Inline Fan Built Around a Mixed-Flow Impeller

The V-Series is the steel-bodied blower Atmosphere builds for rooms that outgrew an 8-inch fan. Its mixed-flow impeller sits between an axial and a squirrel cage. The 12-inch moves 2,050 CFM at 1,700 RPM and meters 53 dB max. The 14-inch turns 2,905 CFM at 1,500 RPM. The 16-inch reaches 4,515 CFM at 1,600 RPM. Impact-resistant heavy-gauge steel under a hammertone powder coat absorbs part of what the motor makes. The balanced impeller rides on permanently lubricated ball bearings. Nothing in the airstream is plastic.

Sizing a High CFM Inline Duct Fan From 12 to 16 Inches

Duct diameter sets the ceiling, so size off room volume and target exchange time. At 2,050 CFM the 12-inch turns over a 2,000 cubic foot room in about a minute, before filter losses. All three are 100% speed controllable, and that is how most rooms run them. Growers dial them back until the carbon filter's static pressure and the day's heat load call for full output. The extended collar and lip take duct without a fight. Galvanized brackets hang the fan horizontally or vertically off a factory 6 ft cord. Two honest limits. The 16-inch is 240V only. And at 44 to 69 lbs of steel, these want a mechanical room or an attic run, not a tent pole.
