How to Use VPS ONE 3-22-36: Hand Mixing or Fertigation Stock Solution
Option 1: Hand Mixing
VPS 3-22-36 can be mixed directly into irrigation water as part of the complete VPS feeding program.
- Fill your mixing reservoir with water.
- Add VPS Commercial Silicon first, if using, and mix thoroughly.
- Slowly add the recommended amount of VPS 3-22-36 while maintaining agitation.
- Once dissolved, add VPS Commercial Magnesium Sulfate and mix thoroughly.
- Add VPS Commercial Calcium Nitrate and continue mixing.
- Measure and adjust the finished nutrient solution to a pH of 5.7–6.2.
- Monitor EC and adjust nutrient concentrations according to plant response and runoff measurements.
Always allow each fertilizer to dissolve completely before adding the next component.
Option 2: Concentrated Stock Solution for Fertigation
For automated fertilizer injection systems, VPS 3-22-36 can be prepared as a concentrated stock solution.
Standard stock concentration: 1 lb of VPS 3-22-36 per 1 gallon of water.
- Clean the stock tank and mixing equipment.
- Fill the stock tank with approximately two-thirds to three fourths of the required water.
- Weigh the appropriate amount of VPS 3-22-36.
- Slowly add fertilizer to the water while maintaining agitation.
- Add the remaining water and continue mixing until fully dissolved.
- Allow tank to settle for 5-10 minutes and inspect the tank bottom for undissolved material and note the solution’s pH.
- Prepare fresh stock solutions every 5–9 days.
When properly dissolved and settled, the VPS 3-22-36 stock solution should appear as a clear amber liquid.
