Aero-Fan V-10M Moves 1,014 CFM With TrolMaster Speed Control
Exhaust and intake fans run around the clock, so control and efficiency matter as much as raw airflow. The V-10M is the 10-inch metal-housed Pro model in the Aero-Fan line from TrolMaster. It moves up to 1,014 CFM against a maximum static pressure of 770 Pa. Peak draw is 210W at 1.94A, and the motor autosenses 100–277V at 50/60Hz. The impeller has 7 blades and fits a 250 mm (9.84 in) duct connection. Aero-Fan uses EC motors, which TrolMaster describes as more efficient and longer lasting than standard motors. The housing is rated IP44, and the fan has built-in thermal protection. It runs from -4 to 140°F, with a rated mean time to failure of 50,000 hours. The fan body measures about 13.78 × 12.20 × 9.65 in. It is certified to UL 507 and CSA C22.2 No. 60335 and carries the ETL mark.
Installing a 10 Inch Metal Inline Fan
The fan body releases from its frame with clips, so the bracket can be mounted first. Mark the hole positions, fasten the mounting bracket, then lock the fan body back in place. The manual calls for mounting at least seven feet above the floor. Check the airflow arrow so the fan pushes air in the right direction before connecting ducting. The tech sheet lists ECS-7 and ECS-9 cable sets in the box, though the manual lists the ECS-9 as sold separately. A Hydro-X Pro (HCS-2) can run a fan group directly over an ECS-9 connection. The FRC-1 Smart Fan Remote adds a manual knob and display, and any adjustment holds for thirty minutes before the controller resumes. The simpler FRC-2 dimmer sets group speed with a single knob.
