Aero-Fan HE-20 Keeps Air Moving Across Large Rooms
Stagnant air in a canopy leads to hot spots, humid pockets and uneven growth. The HE-20 is built to keep a large room mixing. Its 20-inch, six-blade impeller moves up to 3,624 CFM, according to the current tech sheet. Older listings and the manual quote 3,986 CFM for the same fan. Peak draw is 300W at 3.0A on a 100–277V autosensing supply. Speed is set by a digital signal, so no variable frequency drive is needed. The housing is rated IP55 in the manufacturer documents. It runs from -13 to 140°F with a rated MTBF of 40,000 hours. Sound is rated at 68 dB or less, measured three meters from the fan center. The fan measures about 23.39 × 22.05 × 12.2 in and weighs 23.15 lbs.
Mounting and Controlling a 20 Inch High Velocity Fan
Attach the included stand to the fan body with the supplied screws. Mark the wall position and secure the stand with three screws suited to the wall. The installer is responsible for choosing hardware rated for the full load. The manual asks for the fan to sit well above head height, with the warning label facing the floor. Groups of fans link over RS485 with ECS-7 cables, and one remote can run up to fifty fans. The FRC-1 Smart Fan Remote or FRC-2 dimmer sets speed by hand. TrolMaster HCS-2, HCS-3 and TCS-1 controllers can also run the fans on a schedule. The tech sheet lists ECS-7 and ECS-9 cable sets in the box, while the manual lists the ECS-9 as sold separately.
