ThinkGrow Smart Light Lifter Keeps Fixtures at the Right Height Automatically
Keeping lights at the right distance from a growing canopy usually means ladders, ratchet hangers and a lot of guesswork. The LLT-2 replaces that with a DC motor lifter. Each unit lifts up to 132 lbs (60 kg) through a range of up to 9.2 ft (2.8 m). It travels at about 3.9 m per minute and runs at 50 dB or less. Several lifters can be linked with automated alignment, so a fixture stays level as it moves. Control comes from the LRC-1 Smart Lifter Remote or a TrolMaster Hydro-X Pro (HCS-2) controller. Buttons on the lifter body also raise and lower the load directly. Input is 100–277V at 50/60Hz, with a draw of 165W or less. The LLT-2 is ETL listed and certified to UL 73 and CSA C22.2 No. 68. ThinkGrow rates it for about 7,200 lift cycles.
Installing a Grow Light Lifter
Mount the lifter horizontally on Unistrut with MQM channel nuts, turning them 90 degrees to lock. It can also bolt to a secure ceiling structure through its two mounting holes. Use screws of 8 mm or less rated for at least 80 kg, which are not included. Connect the power cable and link neighboring lifters with the included ECS-9 connector cable. Run each lifter's cable fully up or down before hanging anything, so all units start level. Use the included RC-1 rigging kit to attach the fixture with eye plates and quick links. Keep the rigging angle under 140 degrees and the eye plates no more than 94 in apart. Never stand under a moving load, and confirm the structure can carry the lifter plus the fixture. The lifter is for dry indoor locations only. Pair it with the LRC-1 Smart Lifter Remote for manual control without a controller.
