how many grow lights can i have per quest dehumidifier?
The best way to size your grow room dehumidifier is not by the number of lights you have, but instead how much water you're feeding per day to your plants. As a rule of thumb, if you feed 50 gallons to your plants at the time in the flowering period where the plants use the most water, you'll want to make sure you have about 90% of that total (45 gallons) available to extract via dehumidification.
Let's run through the math on this example to convert it to pints per day (PPD), which is the unit of measure for most dehumidifiers in terms of output. There are 8 pints per gallon, so in this example we'll mutliply 45 gallons x 8 pints per gallon to get 360 PPD. For this example make sure your grow room has approximately 360 PPD to properly regulate relative humidity (RH).

can you put quest dehumidifiers outside of your grow room?
With many Quest dehumidifier models, you can place them outside of your grow room if you purchase the intake and exhaust duct kits. Many of the Quest units have the term 'Dual' in the name. If it contains the word Dual, then that Quest dehumidifier model can connect to intake and exhaust kits to be placed outside of the grow room.
Placing a Quest dehumidifier outside of the grow room can be desirable if you have limited space or if you want to keep the heat that the dehumidifier produces outside of the grow room so that you don't send extra energy from your HVAC cooling it.
